Thanks for sharing the article on Java. I agree Java is going down.


With odoo Only focusing on working on features for paid enterprise version, as time passes community will be far away from functionality required in today's business apps. That is what scares me in going with odoo.

With Apache ofBiz, it seems truly open source and there are other open source erp vendors that have built on top of ofBiz such as growerp, hotwaxsystens. In long term, It seems like Apache open source community will be contributing more than to odoo community unless odoo starts contributing to community edition.  They should copy magento community/enterprise model.

I am researching an open source erp system that will have
- e-commerce
- POS
- inventory - location, warehouse, supplier, direct ship
- employee management
- marketing
- accounting
- scheduler (optional)

I am going to customize to my business and sell it as a hosted solution to other businesses in my industry.

I appreciate your feedback in helping me select the correct erp.
