The fact of mount a SaaS is Odoo (Or Your Software) 30%, Good Full Stack Management 40%, Marketing 30%.
Basically opensource your modules allow that some leechers will use it... but also give you good visibility in the community.
On my side I never recommend a SaaS which does not opensource its modules (even in a paid way, like Odoo SA). Those who think it is a matter of Free and Freedom fail in the attempt :-)
I give sort kind of SaaS and PaaS to my customers AND opensource almost everything... and yes,... there are a lot of competitors that even fork my job and say it is theirs... but I am not Oracle i will not sue them LOL.
The good news with them is that Their customers comes to me when they fail with them.
