Subject: Re: economic order quantity

Are you saying that you want EOQ to be a separate field from the orderpoint Quantity Multiple field?  It seems they should be the same field.

Are you saying that you want to calculate the EOQ (Q*), and let the user apply it on the Quantity Multiple field?  That sounds like a good idea.

Q* = sqrt(2*D*K/h)

Will you make configuration settings for holding cost (h) and fixed cost (K)?  Maybe they should be a property of the product category or the product template.

Where will you get the demand (D), from history and forecast, or from another property?  It sounds like a good fit with the Master Production Schedule in the v10 manufacturing improvements.

Hi Community,

As part of a project, we need to inform the economic order quantity.
This notion would be added to the minimum, maximum and multiple stocks
rules.

We searched without success among existing community modules.
Do any of you know this?

Thanks,
