Re: strange behavior in Analytic Accountby
The other issue here is that u are comparing a sales scenario with a purchase one. They are exact opposites regardless of analytical accounting.
The project/cost centre is treated as a debtor in sales case and creditor in purchases case. Hope this makes sense.
From an accounting perspective. On Apr 27, 2016 12:20 AM, "Mustafa Hamad" <email@example.com> wrote:
When u purchase material for a project, u credit the project/cost centre since its value has increased by the purchased material amount, while purchases is debited.
In the customer case it is totally opposite as the project owes the company the sale amount, the acount is therefore debited to increase it while sales is credited, they are treated as debtors in this case.

They are treated like Assets as they belong / ownership is under entitlement of buisness entity. A form of cost centre.

Why is this happening? For Eg:- I Purchased a material for a Project( Analytic Account), It is in the debit side of that Project. Also when i make a customer invoice for same project it is under credit side.Meanwhile accounting entries of the same transaction are correctly debited and credited but analytics are reversed, why?I have attached screen shots below. Is this a bug, or is there something I do not understand?--
