Using SQL statement to import data in Odoo in a bad practice because you bypass the orm and so all the control done by the orm. You should avoid that practice in most of the case and use sql only if it's the only way and if you know exactly what your are doing. This should imply a good knwoledge of the data model.

If you don't want to use the base import feature you can write your own python script that uses the orm.

Dear Community
Can someone helps me build SQL statement to import more than 1000 Sales Orders from CSV file ( exported from another software) to Odoo V9 ?
I have already imported customers and products list using UI but it is difficult for me to import sales orders since I have to compare some fields (Customer Reference, Product name).
And also, I have to force odoo system to validate the Sale order even the quantity is not available
Can someone give me some courses on it ?
Thank you in Advance
