Indeed there are some regressions in the new Odoo versions regarding accounting in PoS.

Maybe you could be interested by this OCA module 'pos_cash_move_reason' (Pull request for instance).

I have technical features enabled, but still can't see "Transfer Account" in the account, journal, or POS payment method.

After digging through the code a bit, the error comes from this file, which checks for partner.transfer_account_id. I had a look at the partner model, and it does have a transfer_account_id field, but I can't find a UI entry anywhere (i've even checked with debug mode on).


I'm using a csv-imported Chart of Accounts rather than a template. Could that be the issue?
