in order to use pyusb on windows, you need to install libUSB, ref. to http://www.libusb.org/wiki/libusb-win32, then install pyusb via pip

once installed those two things, you can run test like

​import  usb.core
​print usb.core.find()
 
 
​it should list all connected usb devices.​ good luck to you.
