Re: Settings when printing to DOT printersby

Thanks for your email. I am pretty certain that some community modules exist that can handle dot matrix printing, however I believe they may require a network or serial connection to the Odoo server.
I'm investigating this now for printing logistics waybills in our warehouse, so if I come across anything I'll let you know.
Have you looked into repo's like OCA/report-print-send, and Aeroo Reports Direct Print?
I believe there are solutions there to directly communicate with a printer over CUPS.

Seems like my only option will be to write a Java and send the data in ASCII to the printer as is the only way to get accurate printing. (Choose Java as is a piece of cake with it :) )Hi Luke,Sadly seems like converting to PDF will fail terrible for DOT printer due concept and current technology. On Wed, Mar 9, 2016 at 10:16 PM, Luke Branch <email@example.com> wrote:Hi Juan,I'm also interested in this for printing Waybills.
Sent from my iPhoneHello,I'm facing a big issue when printing to DOT printers. I have several Epson LX-300+II and when printing directly from windows (with Cristal Reports) the output is great.Issue comes when printing either directly from Odoo or from the generated PDF file. I noted that the output is the worst, no matter what type of font I set. What I noted is also that Odoo DPI truly have some kind of influence on it and the result is bad either increasing or decreasing the the DPI...Does anyone have any other technique, method or idea in order to make a smooth printing with those DOT printers?Regards,Juan Vidal
