+1 you are absolutely right and as you said many not even heard of Odoo.

If you ever did consulting for companies who contact i.e. GLG, you would soon see that many huge companies are actually very interested on a vertical solution - one reason why I really recommend that OCA would start to promote their verticals much much more, and by doing that to promote also the services provided by lots of highly qualified developers and there implementation services based on the flexibility of the Community Edition.

In General you can always create graphs who will look like the exact picture you your self want to see for your product. This is why bigger companies use other services beside those "faulty" graphs - incl those of Gardner or Fabien - to get a better real picture to make future investment decisions

Some people might call this trolling, whatever its my opinion. No offense, but the chart showed by Fabien is sort of ridiculous. I notice others have already commented. I dont think that Odoo even compares to some other out of box solutions for many reasons. If you did a graph that showed the flexibility for modification, then I would place Odoo near the top, but not as a Saas or full ERP system. Odoo has many architecture and usability issues. I have been working in multiple ERP systems for years and if you talk to the big guys doing multi million dollar implementations they never even heard of Odoo and when you show it to them, it has skeleton functionality.

I work with Odoo because its great in terms of flexibility, but I tell prospects up front the software requires development. I also don't recommend that they use Odoo for a full accounting solution depending on their size. There are horrible usability issues, but explain these clearly and they still choose Odoo over big bucks software.

Other flaws in the graph shown is that it compares Odoo to software that isn't ERP. Magento is an ecommerce platform, nothing to do with ERP so why even have that on there? Ugh, the ego
