Re: Reporting toolby
You should stick to the Odoo tools. Try to understand them and see how far you can go with that.
Then, if you consider your needs are not covered, you can see if any other tool is for you. You can try Aeroo, Jaspersoft, Pentaho, etc... but, in most cases, many will agree that it is not necessary to use external tools.
We use Qweb and Jaspersoft.

So I think everyone is suggesting Pentaho reports is a better solution over-all. The only thing is installing the modules and it's dependencies but I'm trying and will showcase something cool soon.On Feb 18, 2016 8:22 PM, "Nhomar Hernández" <email@example.com> wrote:2016-02-18 7:10 GMT-06:00 Esteban Echeverry - Nubark <firstname.lastname@example.org>:Also, if you're concerned about opening ports on your server, you could maybe just work locally on a backup to process your reports. This is a "temporary measure", yes it can work some days, but it is not the correct approach.Make a Bckup every time you will make an analysisi can even stop the system because a dump in some situations block the db server or make it work really slow. But you got the point.Regards.
