Re: Analytic multiplanby
I believe that xcgd already submited a PR to OCA:
I'm afraid that my questions about the design might have pushed them back, since the PR is stale.
You are welcome to jump in and help it move forward.
I am looking into https://github.com/xcgd/analytic_structure/, but I'm struggling to understand. Perhaps an example of an actual implementation could help..
The best implementation of an implementation of multiple analytic dimensions I've seen so far is Tryton's: https://github.com/tryton/analytic_account
IMHO, Tryton would be the best model to inspire any effort to put multiple analytic dimensions into Odoo.

I read the README of analytic_structure but still not sure if it serves my client purpose. He wants to assign more than one analytic account per account.move.line ; say assign project and/or department.
Or if there is a simpler solution for my client need, please advise.

Luc, Daniel, thanks for your proposition and reaction.I had a look to analytic_stucture and is really more complicated and large than what I need.
Don’t you think a simple analytic distribution should exists in Odoo?I will anyway do something for my customer so I will share it with you later to have your comments.
Regards,I'm afraid that it may be stalled because of me: I questioned the design and there hasn't been progress.
Other opinions may help. The PR is on oca/server-tools.

In stead of rebuilding you may have a look at an existing module, cf. https://github.com/xcgd/analytic_structure/
XCG is working on an OCA PR for this work.

As one of our customer needs and wants a real analytic distribution system, we will rebuild something.
If you have any idea/advice, want to work on it with us, any comments is welcome.
We plan to do it simple as possible (only giving the ability to set multiple analytic account on a move and create the lines necessary)
