Hi Nicolas,

It worked perfectly. Thanks a lot.

Dear sir,

to work with the base_import_module, you can build a module as usual, except you cannot have python file. In your case, you can build your pos interface as usual, and for your qweb template for POS, you can use something like :

init: function() {
$.when(this._super.apply(this, arguments)).then(function () {
var template_file = '/point_of_sale_extension/static/src/xml/pos.xml';
var def = $.Deferred();
openerp.qweb.add_template(template_file, function(err) {
if (err) {
} else {
return def;

Dear All,

Does anybody knows or have documentation on how to work with the base_import_module?

I am using it with no success. As follows I explain my first test.

I have created a module which adds a field in the client list of the point of sales and also adds this field in the Client List Search.

My module have the following:

    'name' : 'point of sale extension',
    'version': '1.0',
    'author': "Same Motion",
    'website': "",
    'summary': 'Adapt point of Sales',
    'sequence': '1',
    'category': 'Extensions',
    'complexity': 'easy',
Point of Sale Extension
Add the following to Point of Sale
    'depends': ['point_of_sale'],
    'data': ['views/template.xml'],
    'qweb': ['static/src/xml/pos.xml'],
    'installable': True,
    'auto_install': False,
    'application': False,

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<!-- vim:fdn=3:

        <template id="assets" name="mydb assets" inherit_id="point_of_sale.assets">

            <xpath expr="." position="inside">
                <script type="text/javascript" src="/point_of_sale_extension/static/src/js/mydb.js"></script>

I have tested this module by adding it in the addons folder and restaring my server and it works.

Now I would like to add this module to an Odoo Saas instance. For which I have followed the next steps.
1. Created a zip file which contains the module folders and files.
2. Import the zip file using the base_import_module

The import was successful , but the when I open the point of sale the new fields in the pos.xml files are not loaded. But the search which is in mydb.js is working.

Thanks a lot,
