Re: Odoo verticalization for Communities

- 01/04/2016 09:45:48
Hello Wouter,

As you probably guessed I am currently focusing my attention on Clouder, but the Valeureux association continued some developments I think their repo is located here :

Unfortunately some code, especially the web part, is not OCA quality and is not merged in the OCA repo. I think they would greatly appreciate any help or partnership from experienced Odoo integrators.

I do not have the last news, so I let Julien or Sybille continue the answer. Thank you for your interest.

Dear Yannick, community,

when you first announced the Community Verticalisation it was with great
excitement, at least how I felt it. Hopefully you are well, and I saw
also very active with Clouder and other things.

Regarding the Community Vertical: in various cooperatives this could
come in very well. In particular one in which we are setting up a car
sharing between community members. The members earn points by sharing
their cars.

Could you tell us whether this vertical is further developed and
maintained at all and if so, where the action takes place?

If you or others would have any suggestion about cooperatives and
communities sharing cars, that would be very useful as well. We'll need
to register cars, check assurances, let members define availability,
allow for reservations, hand over their car, register driven kilometers
and possible fuel deposits at return. Things like that.

I'll have to ask this in other places as well, but the community
vertical could be a good starting point, I'd hope ;-)

best and thanks for your time,

Dear Odoo community,

Following the acceptation of the Community verticalization inside the
OCA, I have the pleasure to inform you that the project
( and the repository
( has been created. I'd like
to thanks the OCA board for the time they take to make this possible.

As a reminder, the goal of the community verticalization is to transform
Odoo into a powerful tool for communities so each members can easily
communicate between them, exchange services, take decisions together in
order to achieve the goals of the community using it.
For more information, please look at the post I wrote before the
OpenDays, and the update which follows :

If you are interesting by this project, I invite you to subscribe to the
github repository and to the mailing list

Thank you for your attention,
