Hi,

As for matter of the title,
according to this link https://www.odoo.com/es_ES/forum/help-1/question/postgresql-idle-connections-and-docker-72778
the official strategy of Odoo seems to be to keep DB connections open.

I tested and found out the following things:
- when the number of connections reaches the limit of 'db_maxconn', it seems that the oldest connections are automatically closed.
- the number of connection limit can be extended to 'db_maxconn' * 'workers'.

Thanks!

Our customer using Amazon RDS as the DB server receives DB connection leaks and their Odoo hangs up.
According to the old thread https://bugs.launchpad.net/openobject-server/+bug/463219, the official strategy is to keep connections to DB open, isn't it?

And, is the only way to avoid DB connection leaks limiting the value of db_maxconn? Do you have any ideas?
