Re: Odoo 8 VS Odoo 9by
We as well decided to go with version 9 "out of the box"
My motivation was also that the users here in peru have a hard time learning new digital things, and to have them learn two versions in a short time..
Performance wise v9 is much better imo and a bit more userfriendly
So for the things we use it (sales, manufacture, purchase, website integration) v9 works just fine
Although i would love to see a vertical module for a carpentry/furniture factory.. but hey, we dont have that in v8 neither :)

Hi Hector.I guess you'll get answers from both "camps" on that one. The reason most of the material you find out there refers to 8 is simply that that has been out a year longer than v9. Most of it should apply to v9 as well, with the exception of some UI changes here and there. The most substantial change between v8 and v9-community is the accounting and the accounting reports. Now I do not know if you will be using accounting or not, and which localization (country) you would use, but since you have a Spanish address I suppose you may be best served with v8 IF you are using Spanish accounting. Otherwise I would look to v9 since that's where the action is at now.Myself I use v9 with accounting. But that's in Norway. And the bank statement reconciliation alone makes it so worth it.-TorvaldTorvald Baade BringsvorBringsvor Consulting AS - Odoo (formerly OpenERP) implementation partner2015-11-17 10:09 GMT+01:00 Hector Olmedo <email@example.com>:Hi all, We are starting with Odoo and after installing Odoo 9 on a CentOS server, looking for help, everything is related to Odoo 8. We are going to reinstall our Odoo server because of several problems: should we install Odoo 9 or Odoo 8?
