If AGPL is so good and LGPL so bad, how do you explain that?

<1% open source software use AGPL
7% uses LGPL
24% uses MIT which is even more permissive than LGPL

At some point, we should stop freaking out and move forward...

For the documentation / translation, I guess it should be CC (if we forgot to set a license, it's public domain. Which is good too)

We would contribute like before to any translation if the translation could be released as AGPL so that it could NOT be included in proprietary software.
Is this possible!

We absolutely don't agree with the move to make everything LGPL as only with AGPL we could be make sure that our worktime does not get included in software we later will have absolute no access in.

It is NOT the time we would need to invest but it would be the License as we have absolute no interest to fill up pockets of proprietary software providers what ODOO likes to be in future I guess. We would like to have access to all Code like before under AGPL License

Read here why you should NOT use the LGPL License.
The License Model ODOO S.A. has chosen for Version 9 is the beginning of the End of the community access to every new development!

"Proprietary software developers, seeking to deny the free competition an important advantage, will try to convince authors not to contribute libraries to the GPL-covered collection. For example, they may appeal to the ego, promising “more users for this library” if we let them use the code in proprietary software products. Popularity is tempting, and it is easy for a library developer to rationalise the idea that boosting the popularity of that one library is what the community needs above all.
But we should not listen to these temptations, because we can achieve much more if we stand together. We free software developers should support one another. By releasing libraries that are limited to free software only, we can help each other's free software packages outdo the proprietary alternatives. The whole free software movement will have more popularity, because free software as a whole will stack up better against the competition."

If ODOO S.A. would pay a good price for our time than we could talk also about translation for LGPL. Time is Money and we don't invest a lot of Time for nothing at the end when this software is getting less and less usable as to many parts get outsourced to proprietary parts which you need to purchase for very expensive money to still keep functionality up.

I recommend ODOO S.A. to change back there License to AGPL and 100% of the community would be eager and willing to contribute like they have done it before!

The first Organization will benefits from our contributing is "ODOO",......" You have to say that and don't ignore it" because:-

1- It is marketing for Odoo product as it will help Oslo to have material with Multiple languages, which will make revenue for Odoo before anyone, (Partnership, Customers, ...etc)

2- If Odoo community members don't contribute, You have to hire employees to do that, or ignore the task which mean loss revenue, market, and compitation with Others ERPs,

We always want Odoo to be first ERP product, but I had contributed with Odoo many times before, Now I have to know what is the diffrent thing that we will gain after that?

Our time is our money,
I am waiting answer including clear points,

This is great if you have time to spend on translation, please check the
wiki for explanation on how to translate

or join the translation mailing list for updates

or get in touch directly with me if you need more information/help

benefits which we will gain after spending contributing hours with Odoo?

The translations you submit on Transifex are synchronised weekly back to
the software, this way everybody benefits from the translation efforts.
