So we share the same honest opinion ;-) . Nevertheless my strict
interpretation is not shared by OCA, and it is better like this for
the peace of the community.

Precisely, it is the goal of the change to LGPL :
- Allow Odoo to build its own proprietary edition and Saas
- Allow contributors to sell proprietary apps through odoo apps store
- Allow other companies to build their own proprietary edition and/or Saas
