For an upgrade to v8, it takes between a few hours and a few days. For a v9 upgrade, it may take up to 6 weeks, depending on the issues we will detect during our automated & manual tests.
You can upload even with your custom module. We will deliver a test and a production database. (Your custom module is removed from the test database so that you can test v8 with your data right after having uploaded it)
If you don't have an Odoo Enterprise, it's $240 per user per year. And you get all those benefits:
