What are the realistic expectations of Accounting migration into V9?

Let's give you my PoV.

You read my emails about sale/purchase-workflow, what was wrong there?

That just 2 weeks before release we realize that all the workflow changed, (too little time) and then we just finish several developments because our not-understanding/knowledg about such "improvements", what happen if we knew that 1 year before? I can plann my developments "migrable" or maybe I simply didn't developm them because they will be in v9.0.

Error: Just 2 weeks and AFTER the development is done. IMHO (even if I am not agreed with the workflow removal) the real issue is the leak of communication with enought gap to be prepared.

BUT, What happen with accounting.

We know the evolution of accounting with a year in advance, we participate on the design, we give feedback and so on, then today, (at least for my localizations) I have a clear roadmap about "what I need to migrate and why", then in no more than 6 months I will be ready with that.

On this ocassion, The way they work with MRP will be like with Accounting, MRP must be rewritten to extend a lot of things, we have the experience as community of odoomrp, and I think, start today with the roadmap for v10 is "Perfect."

You As customer "How can be prepared.?" First of all trace a roadmap, the fact that v9.0 is coming out do not mean you "must" migrate to it tomorrow, you can (and must) wait some months.

Hire some programmers and some services from Odoo/partners and or even the Licence (if you want) in order to test automagically your data on v9.0 (is almost magical how it works).

But yes this time is REALLY positive odoo plan with 1 year in advance, I feel is perfect, in my opinion.
