Hi there,

I am looking for a way to deploy/run an odoo setup generated by
anybox.recipe.openerp.
I have been using buildout to create zope/plone sites.
In zope/plone setups you had to specifically tell the startup scripts to run the
generated server in the foreground using a command line like:
bin/instance --foreground
by default bin instance started a server as a demon.

Now it looks as if the buildout process chain implemented by
anybox.recipe.openerp creates a startup script that runs odoo in the foreground.

how would i start bin/start_openerp so it starts its odoo server as a demon?
You can run it like this: nohup bin/start_openerp &

But I think the management of demons is another topic, which is not necessarily the anybox.recipe.openerp objectives.
You have several packages based on anybox.recipe.openerp. For example, anybox.odoo.host allows you to run Odoo server using supervisorclt

thanks for your time
robert
