Re: Multicurrency Accountby
Technically, you can either chose one or 2+ accounts. I prefer to have separate accounts (one for reporting currency and one per foreign currency).Option 1: 2 payment vouchers, one per currency (using separate currency/account in journal): in v8 a pain in the a$% because the amount is converted to currency in payment voucher.Option 2: 1st payment in the invoice currency + one accounting entry to transfer from foreign currency to invoice currency + 2nd payment in invoice currency.Option 3: direct accounting entry with all payments. less fancy but more flexible. You have to calculate all FOREX differences though. On Fri, Sep 18, 2015 at 7:52 PM Mustafa Al Azaam <firstname.lastname@example.org> wrote:
This is quick enquiry about multicurrency environment company, what is the best when dealing with partners paying invoices in two currency in same time.
Option1: make two accounts each one with its currency and reflect that on journals
Option2: add second currency to e.g. cash account and create journal with this currency
