Thanks for all the answers, now a related question: there is a table res_partner. There all the partner records are stored. but there is also a table re_company. What is that table for? what kind of "company records" are stored in this table? I *assume* that a record in res_company has nothing to do with res_company, even when is_company is set? right? thanks robert On 10.09.2015 15:12, Nuria Arranz Velazquez wrote: > One of the difference is that an individual partner cannot have contacts > linked to the record, while a company can. > > On 09/09/15 23:07, robert rottermann wrote: > > Hi there, > > I was assuming that partners can be companies, or persons. > > The difference between the two is a flag set: is_company. > > > > Now I see that there is a model for companies and a model for partners (where I > > can set a flag is_company). > > > > Can anybody explain, what is the difference between the entity-types? > > > > thanks a lot > > robert > > > > _______________________________________________ > > Mailing-List: https://www.odoo.com/groups/community-59> > > > > -- > N.
