Re: companies and partners: what is the differenceby
Hi Robert,All companies are partners, however, need not be partners be companies. The partner of OpenERP is used to exchanges with other firms (customers or suppliers) with which purchase-sale operations are performed. The company (s) is the entity over which revolve all the processes taking place in the system, in other words, my company internally.

Hi there, I was assuming that partners can be companies, or persons. The difference between the two is a flag set: is_company. Now I see that there is a model for companies and a model for partners (where I can set a flag is_company). Can anybody explain, what is the difference between the entity-types? thanks a lot robert
