I am using it in production now for couple of clients and so far it's pretty good and easy to manage the environment. However, I need to streamline on the docker operations bit more . Hopefully, new tools like docker machine would help, need to explore it.

I'd like to know the best practices managing the docker operations from community of anyone using it in production.

Cheers,
Naran

there is another question: "Am I prod ready for the plumbing?" ;-)

We use the official Odoo code for prod and we do so using the docker toolset. I feel your question might be based on assumptions that don't hold true. Keep in mind, that what this docker provides is OS and python libraries. That's a common denominator of every installation. When analysing prod-readiness, you probably could ask by layers: "Is the hardware layer prod ready?", "Is the OS layer prod ready?", "Is the python layer prod ready?", "Is the plumbing prod ready?" (=docker. Yes, it is! -> V.1.8), "Is my sourcode prod ready?".. hpe this helps with de-confusing matters.

We have made one, the clue is that you can set your different environments by mounting different code on the same docker. That's why there is a config folder, which contains some openerp-server.conf. There is also some sugar code which gives some feedback about what's happening or what might have gone wrong. Basic, without waranties. It's ment for development, but in a docker world the difference between dev and prod are very tiny.

one time I searched for it, there wasn't (about 3 months ago)
