It's being stored in a cookie in the browser.
If you cleared browser cache it will show db list again.

HelloI guess you mean the session cookies, odoo identifies the user by a session id which is added to your browser cookies. odoo finds a database without any "special" settings.
so it does have persisted the dbname somewhere.
