Re: Rate Shopping US carriersby
Hi OpenERP Master,
Ok, thanks for letting me know.
Ok, thanks for letting me know.
I'll wait for you to publish your modules so we can take a look and discuss with our team if they cover our requirements completely, or if we need some custom development to extend the features.
Regarding the e-commerce module, if we decide to develop the module ourselves, or hire someone else to do it we'll get in touch to provide a link to our module extending omniship.

I will send an email link to the code when it is published.Hi,I am not currently interested in doing ecommerce module development. The shipping module (omniship) works based on a specification/requirement for a client. The module will be published soon. If you want to develop this module to work on ecommerce you can do this or have someone extend the module. I could also offer email assistance if you are going to make the attempt. If you want customization to the module for use in Odoo (not ecommerce), with some feature or extra carrier/addon, I would be interested. You can contact me directly. The omniship module will become a few modules.
omniship_core. This module will be generic introduction to shipping models and api calls.
omniship_label, this module will allow you to generate PDF shipping labels and print directly to a thermal printer. The next module will be omniship_rate, which will provide functionality to do rate quoting. The rate shopping functionality is nearly complete. On Tue, Jul 14, 2015 at 1:08 AM, Luke Branch <email@example.com> wrote:Hi OpenERP Master,
Regarding the possibility of a module to extend Omniship (or whatever this new rate shopping module will eventually become), what amount of funding would you need in order to build this module?
I'm currently working on an e-commerce project that will need a shipping calculator/selection in the shopping cart but haven't found anything out there that does it right now. I'd like to know what ballpark figure would be needed so I can discuss it with our team and see if we can either fully or partially fund it's development.Regards,
Lukejust FYI, I didnt create this post to debate licensing or discuss enterprise version. Just stating that there will be this capability for v8 with new modules, understanding as others have pointed out there are already some solutions available.Typically when I develop a feature I think others can use, I will post about it so anyone can get it and try it out.No bad feelings about that, if I only could mix community modules with the enterprise version...
