Re: Developer modeby

Ok, then let's say Odoo compromises and that Developer Mode by default is another CheckBox in the user definition area.
While in development and testing mode I choose to have it "ON" and then I turn it off once the system is stable. Or I am in production.
But in my staging or dev environment 99 out 100 times it will come in handy and not mess up things.

I do not agree, it should stay that way, there are too many sensitive functionality. however you should have the option to allow display of technical field names without enabling developer mode. This is standard in some software.Additionally, to add to your point, I think its stupid that the admin user by default isnt granted technical features rights. Which means you cant update module list or do anything without going to user and setting it to technical features. On Wed, Jul 8, 2015 at 12:08 PM, Nicolas Schmitt <firstname.lastname@example.org> wrote:Would be nice here as well, anybody has an idea? Has anyone come accross the need to make "Developer mode" the standard mode for Admin' Can it be accomplished via a non-programmatic way? It is really nagging having to turn-it on each time I need it ... which means MOST of the time.
