Re: Please confirm comments on v9 UIby
I think its not a fair comparison to talk about the GTK client, because in this case both GTK and web client were available in all editions of the software. I think its a smart decision to deprecate the GTK client because it does not make sense to maintain two different clients (opinion). The big difference here is that you are stating only fast and pretty UI is available in a non open source version. This is like comparing apples to oranges.

In v5 we had the webclient and the gtk client. When we killed the gtk client in v7 we were told that it was atrocious to kill the native gtk client :) In v9 both clients respect the same contract/specification and api. So form/list/kanban view and actions will be rendered correctly in both. It's only if you create web modules that tweak the internals of the webclient that you might get some incompatibilities. Such modules are rare in Odoo Apps and many of them will be deprecated by the new design. The Odoo Community v9 webclient has been improved a lot (new js module system, kanban, graph, pivot, search), the Odoo Enterprise and Odoo Online v9 client even more (layout dom, action manager, controlpanel and from view rendering). We updated the /pricing-online page, we will publish an edition comparaison page very soon the draft is here https://www.odoo.com/pricing?noredirect=1 (it's a DRAFT there might be errors or inaccuracies please wait for the final one to be published before commenting) The goal of that page is to clearly explain the difference between the 3 editions. In v9 there is a clear visual difference in the UI between the community and the enterprise and online edition. But every feature of community will work perfectly in both clients from a business point of view (minus the responsive design, flickering/rendering improvement and speedups).
