Hi Kurt and Luke , Thank you for your anwsers, I'm on my own private server Odoo instance, not on saas.

So Kurt is advising me to add a code parcel using the html editor, for that I should add :

<t name="Theme" t-name="website.theme">
    <link id="bootstrap_css" rel="stylesheet" href="/website/static/lib/bootstrap/css/bootstrap.css" t-ignore="true"/>
    <link id="website_css" rel="stylesheet" href="/website/static/src/css/website.css" t-ignore="true"/>
     <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="//www.mydomain.com/mycss.css"/>
</t>

After choosing Main layout on the html editor menu tabs, or should I just add the line in bold only, if yes should I add it on Main layout between the <head></head> ?

I'm not sure of what I should add and where I should add it, please advise me the best.

It appears that's this approach is not the best, because if I upload the website module I'll get all this changes lost !

can you confirm my statement ? besides, it gives you the power to replicate the same changes on other odoo instances.

On the other hand Luke suggested to add the css using a theme module. So I've a custome_theme module, and I applied the changes to it, as described on the forum, it's clear for me, and it worked. I've integrated the CSS using inheritance.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Yassine,

I'd recommend following Kurt's suggestions. If you are not running on Odoo online (ie. Odoo.com's hosted service) and you have access to the filesystem you may find the following post useful as well:

https://www.odoo.com/forum/help-1/question/new-bootstrap-theme-on-website-builder-58809

developing a module to preserve the changes will allow you to replicate those changes in another Odoo instance.

Regards,

Luke

Dear Yassine,

if you can edit the html then you can simply point it to an additional css which overrides the existing theme. I describe this approach in the forum answer here:- https://www.odoo.com/forum/help-1/question/developing-themes-for-the-website-ecommerce-module-currently-in-trunk-44077#answer-57155

A CSS Editor for Odoo, any suggestions ?

Dears,

I added some html code using the online html editor, but couldn't figure out how to add the css to my html code.

By viewing a window called "style" on the html editor, I noticed some css code integrated using qweb syntax. Am I on the right way ?

Can anyone tell me how this can be done ?

Thanks.
