Re: Fwd: Access Error when confirming the sales orderby
How are you Rami? and Ramadan Kareem for all ;) ,
for sure you are right, If this SO contains products with reordering rules / minimum stock rules or for any reason generates a procurement or a purchase order then the sales manager should get a purchase user permission.

Due to what Mohamed said before, if this user creates purchase quotations, then he has to have the Purchase rights also. Please @Mohamed M. Hagag justify my answer.

Another problem ...
When I granted the 'Sales manager' the 'Manufacturing Manager's rights, and when he is trying to confirm the quotation, this error pops up...
Sorry, you are not allowed to access this document. Only users with the following access level are currently allowed to do that:
(Document model: purchase.order)Any ideas?!!!
Thanks all for your clarification...
In another words make your products normal products without BOMs and create & confirm SO
Then create MO manually based on the SO
the 3rd solution which I created for Sales, Warehouse, and Accounting is to create security record rules that for example will hide the MO from the sales manager after it get created.
In odoo with normal groups you have 2 options:
1- automation that will need more permissions per user - ex. sales user will need WH permission to generate delivery automatically from SO
2- Limit permissions per department / module and create some records manually .

In that case you should only sell products, which do not involve any MRP functionalities. It is self explanatory that a sales manager needs corresponding access rights, when it concerns MRP operations. The meaning of an integrated system is that sales knows, what production can produce in which time frames. If you do not need any capacity and production planning, then do not use MRP and no products, which use MRP.

Thx Mohammed and Rami for your replyBasically, in my situation, the 'Sales manager' is the assumed person to approve the sales orders, and assumed also to not have the MRP rights.
Thanks Mohamed for your reply. But this is supposed to be the Sales Manager! and should not have the Manufacturing rights. Am I right?
This is a normal expected behaviour if the sales order generates a Manufacturing order .
In this case the SO must create a MO which needs that the user have MRP access .

When the sales manager tries to confirm sales orders, he gets this error message...
AccessErrorNo value found for mrp.routing(864,).workcenter_lines
While if a user has both the sales manager and the manufacturing manager's rights it passes with no exception!
I -of course- reviewed the privileges of that user and found nothing abnormal!
Can any one help?
