I thing you may create a module to initialize your data, for the lang ie.:

create a data/data xml with the following

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<openerp>
    <data noupdate="1">
        <function name="function_name" model="your.model"/>
    </data>
</openerp>

the model must be declared as follows:
class your_model(osv.TransientModel):
    def function_name(self, cr, uid, context=None):
        {code that write everything you need}

Hi,

I would like to know how to reset default parameters and values like :

- default currency of the system ( that everything gets the new currency ex. Product price currency ) - I know the normal user method which is a partial one.

- default installation language change the default language so that when creating a new customer the language of the customer will be the new default language .

these 2 points are very annoying that we can't change them for everything after the DB initialized .

I think that such info are being saved some where in the DB, or is being processed on the first id of record - ex. res_lang.id = 0 is the default for all customer's language ?

Thanks.
