Thanks for your responses. I'll do as you said.

Hi Harold,

So basically, to work on openupgrade and realize the coverage of a new module, you have to realize a New Pull Request against OpenUpgrade project, including generally 3 files in the migration folder of your module:
- openupgrade_analysis_work.txt, (that is a copy of openupgrade_analysis.txt file WITH your comments and analyse.)

- a pre-migration python script; (In the pre migration script, you only have access to the database, not the ORM, and regular update did not worked already)

- a post-migration python script; (In the post migration script, you have full access to the ORM and this script is executed after regular update)

1/ see for exemple an easy sample with migration of analytic module, and check after more tecnical upgrade like product module, or stock module if you wanna have a nice evening;

2/ You can read some doc here :

3/ you can use any functions available in the openupgrade library : ;

I stay tuned if you have any questions.

Kind regards.

  • Empty : No information available : Please see the ‘openupgrade_analysis.txt’ file of the module and share your analyse;
I ran into the same error reported here ( by running a database migration

I also see that the module survey is not covered yet by openupgrade.

My questions is :

-How can i share my "openupgrade_analysis.txt" file (in the survey module)
-How can i write migration script for this module (survey)

You can add the repositories containing the 8.0 version of these modules
through the --add parameter of the script
