they are many script for a basic install.
The one installs three separate copies of Odoo servers called
production, training and test and a panel to administrate your
services
If you need more services, you can use these examples to manage other
instances (automated installation and administration)

Using multibase server may be acceptable indeed if you are the only
user and know what you do. I don't recommend it but I know many do so,
even for hosting services. It is simpler to install and requires less
resources. It is less secure and code update is more complex..

This solution is simple enough to be hand-made.

For a full picture, I deliver free hosting services for Odoo  and
a fully managed multi-tenant solution for not much.
