Add New Printer

Copy and paste your printer's device description in the form below. You can find your printer's description in the device list above. If you find that your printer works well, please send your printer's description to support@openerp.com so that we can add it to the default list of supported devices.

 

Reset To Defaults

If the added devices cause problems, you can Reset the device list to factory default. This operation cannot be undone.

hi all,

i have a standard Odoo posbox configuration,
with Epson printer, cashdrawer, scanner and pi.

logging in on the pi, it says
pi@posbox ~ $ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0424:9514 Standard Microsystems Corp. 
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0424:ec00 Standard Microsystems Corp. 
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0c2e:0200 Metro Metrologic Scanner
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 04b8:0e15 Seiko Epson Corp. 

device 004 is the scanner, device 005 is the printer.
all fine, it seems.

Your PosBox is up and running

The PosBox is an hardware adapter that allows you to use receipt printers and barcode scanners with Odoo's Point of Sale, version 8.0 or later. You can start an online free trial, or download and install it yourself.

The PosBox software installed on this posbox is version 11, the posbox version number is independent from Odoo. You can upgrade the software on the upgrade page

Configuration:
Hardware Proxy

i have Print via Proxy enabled, Scan via Proxy enabled, Cashdrawer enabled. (perhaps not visible but the options are checked)



the problem is, in the POS, both scanner and printer are reported "offline".

what could be the problem here?
