it must be opensource, it's not just distributed.

Thanks Houssine,I saw they video presentation, they're from Marrakesh.I'll consider their potential offer, surely it's not opensource ;-)2015-06-11 14:41 GMT+01:00 Houssine BAKKALI <email@example.com>:Yassine,what I know of is that the morrocan company has developped a pos module for restaurant that does what you need on V7 and V8. unfortunately they didn't distributed. You could maybe contact them and ask for their module and how much they sale it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8TqaF9nWIA@Houssine,I agree with you on considering studying the functionnal side of pos_restaurant for v9, I think it brings besides tables and floor management, the ability to give customer rewards, but that's not all the features. Currently it's under developpement. For v8 there is a module on master branch wich provides pos_restaurant tables and kitchen management :I would like to have your point of view on this. It's under developpement I guess, so it contains maybe some bugs. It can be tested on a v8 instance I think ?On the other hand, there is other payed modules wich manages pos for restaurants of v8, and also v7.@Houssine,I prefer to have something fully opensource, but the saas offer is for v9.--We should maybe first have a look at which functionnalities opencore pos V9 bring... if it's just for having table and floor for the pos_restaurant... we maybe have to evaluate the possibility to make a OCA module for the actual pos in v8Hi Sylvain, keep in mind that backporting v9 pos could not be work for the existing OCA pos addons.2015-06-11 10:53 GMT+02:00 Martin Trigaux <firstname.lastname@example.org>:On 11/06/15 10:23, Sylvain LE GAL wrote: > +1. I don't think it's different than what does the OCA's merge bot. All the code from Odoo SA is already merged into OCB without signing the OCA's CLA + some changes on standard addons made by the community. Backporting is kind of the same.It makes sense. Thanks for your answer.(but let's not start a CLA discussion into a POS thread ;-));-)CordialementYassine TEIMIConsultant & Odoo Project ManagerTEL : +212 6-27 33 30 78--CordialementYassine TEIMIConsultant & Odoo Project ManagerTEL : +212 6-27 33 30 78--CordialementYassine TEIMIConsultant & Odoo Project ManagerTEL : +212 6-27 33 30 78
