Re: Funding for the migration of the Magento Connectorby
Eric Caudal (Odoo Community Association)
It is very difficult to have a runbot dynamically running for Magento but it would be a good idea to have a static demo server Odoo-Magento with a stable version to allow users to test the feature.

I can add the magento connector to the runbot, but I cannot have a magento instance running on the runbot.<blockquote cite="mid:CAJeyqWKNmQBK9aU6sRYh673eFVw5=Gc6pDipwMOgdJJizbWi9g@mail.gmail.com" type="cite">

Hi Guewen and other community members,
Would like to bring up this topic on Magento Connector. As Connector is released and most of the people are interested in it, maybe there is also some demo server on runbot where that connector is installed?
I think it will help everybody to give demo and to test it. So instead of setting up environment yourself, it will be possible to have single instance for this.
I know there are plans of OCA to have runbot test system for all features, but maybe Magento-Odoo environment we already have?

I understand your frustration but I would feel a bit more confident on CampToCamp if the approach was a bit more constructive instead. Like I would also like a list / explanation on what didn't work, but I doubt we're going to get that now.
I, like many, do appreciate your efforts at CampToCamp, and we thank you for them. Yes you are right, it's not very fair to criticise without showing any examples, totally agree. And it is a kick on the teeth to just write off your work based on those "problems" that we haven't seen reported and launch and advertise a new "working" connector.
Believe me I understand how you feel.
I would also want to know what the problems were with the OpenSource connector, though.

I donn know who is your client is. But without our consent no one can use Confianz's Odoo-Magento Connector. We tried Webkul and Camp to Camp connectors, but so many errors occurred. So we developed an Odoo-Magento connector from the scratch.
Now we have many clients for our Connector. We will configure and install the connector for our clients. No one reported any issues yet.
You claim to have had many errors with the OCA Magento Connector, but I don't see any bug report from you on the bugs tracker .
You keep hijacking threads everywhere with links to your project that no one can even judge because you hide the source.
