You have to worry about one part that want to create serious bookkeeping and keep this goodies close to their chest and another part that the first part think is doing light bookkeeping. The first part doesn't trust the second part to help them evolv the product doing serious bookkeeping. Do you think the development phase in total will increase or decrease? How long do you think it will take before the two parts will divide and fell apart?

Sorry, may be that wasn't clear: of course I see the move to a permissive license and to proprietary modules very negatively as I said earlier. But, in this tragedy, I think a full incompatibility between the AGPL modules on one side and the proprietary module is actually a very good thing, because this is what will lead to the solution I think.

If the modules are fully incompatibles, I don't give one year to the proprietary side to be marginalized behind the AGPL leading part and stop messing the ecosystem/market with these proprietary messages. If modules are somewhat compatibles instead, then it would probably take more years because the proprietary initiative will somewhat still be taking advantage from the free community work.

You may call that a fork, but usually a fork is a diverging move initiated by the community, whereas in this case, both the initiative of the license change and the hiding of the master branch is coming from the original editor...
