Re: Odoo v9 Paid Appsby
The new website will be rolled out progressively. Expect the homepage and apps page to change within the next days. (The homepage is not fully finished: no footer, no ERP/open source keywords, ...).
The idea of the new website is to have mini-sites dedicated to each app with several pages per app: overview, features, demo... (Like what we did for the point of sale a month ago) We are testing a new navigation structure.
Please, avoid FUD: our commitment to open source is not changed. Open source is still on most of the pages and his very important to us.
And I actually don't know how to be more clear on that. After having worked 10 years to build a strong open source ERP (5 years without a salary just because I trusted in an open source model), you still fear for the worst every year. You should compare with other software vendor in open source, we are by far one of the most committed to open source.
Odoo SA has deployed their new website, this one without the word "Open Source" on the front page. A true indication on what direction Odoo are taking. Odoo SA are not a FLOSS-company any more and will not promote the product as such. If free software or open source was of any importance for Odoo SA it would be announced on the front page.
