Re: Protecting the Communityby
Take advantage of the new social nature of the modern open source, you will win way more often than you will loose. And yes, this is absolutely normal that very few people will do the work correctly, we don't count anymore leads or customers that failed with many before knocking do our door and sometimes spending considerable amount of money too because they didn't use these criteria I mentioned.
Note that I'm not even doing advertising here, the rare people that will do your project right are all extremely busy and you'll probably have to wait months if you even get an answer from them... Now in the meanwhile it has been years of artificially trying to fake that there would be a huge consultancy offer from which you can choose (try to spot the turnover among the official partners for instance). Try instead to understand why this overheated this way and believe it if you want, but then you will be warned. Also bear in mind that people absent from the open source radar, will not leave you with a sustainable solution even if rarely they might sometimes technically be able to solve a problem in the short term.
Yes please share. I also have had this SAME experience with an Odoo developer. Last night I was debating whether or not I should expose him in order to protect others. If I get some feed back wanting me to do this I will but I want to make sure that people understand that I am not trying to be spiteful but rather protect others from having the same thing happen. On May 12, 2015 6:28 AM, "senthilnathan g" <email@example.com> wrote:Please shareOn Tue, May 12, 2015 at 6:09 PM, Odoo - Azmina Solutions <Odoo@azminasolutions.com> wrote:
Wanted to share with the community recent negative experience that I had with one of the freelance Odoo developers.
Developer failed to deliver the committed requirements nor agreed to refund the money.
I will be happy to share the name and address of the developer for people interested in the same.
Thought of just warning the community ..be careful of such people. I guess sharing such experience should help us in excluding people that would harm the community.
