RE: Cost Price in Sales Orderby
I look on that module,
It seems we must click that button if we want to update the cost price,
Which is not really easy to use,
Imagine you have 1K product that has BoM,
And you update the cost of each material.
So every time you change the cost price, you must click that button.
Which is take lot of job.
From my point of view it should be automatic.
Our approach, is to have another field called BoM Cost.
Which is if the product has bom, we will compute the cost of bom,
But if the product has no bom, the value will be take from cost price field.
And every time there’s a change in cost price in the material, it will automatically compute the BoM cost on the each product.

It should be this module: https://github.com/odoo/odoo/tree/8.0/addons/product_extended
By the way, I was thinking the cost price of a finished product would be automatically updated as you process a cycle of manufacturing order and shipment (i.e. cost price of the finished product shold be the sum of cost prices of consumed components). As I check the behavior in 8.0, however, it turns out not to be the case (cost price of the finished product remains unupdated). It seems the inventory value of the quant of the finished product generated from manufacturing does not reflect the cost prices of the consumed products, which seems to me a bug or incomplete design. Does anyone have an explanation on this?
I found this issue https://github.com/odoo/odoo/issues/1796 related to this topic, but it seems it was closed without solving this particular issue.

In product form there is button named "Recompute Price from BOM" by clicking on it you can get the right cost price.
I have attached screenshot for the same.

I sale a product XXX, which has a BoM composed of raw material XXX1, XXX2, and XXX3. I set the cost price of XXX1, XXX2, XXX3 right. When I add XXX into the order lines, the cost price of XXX is still zero. Is there any chance that I can get the right cost price, calculated by odoo according to its BoM?
