Yes, why just set it for fix cycle, 5 years as an example. Versions increament by 0.1 - Not directly +1 :)
Hello,I thought I would throw my2cents in. There is a lot of discussion and hype about version 9 coming out. This is interesting considering that most reputable developers have just started porting their work to v8. By the time this is completed v9 will be released and the code funded by the community and just completed will already be obsolete.Software evolution is important, however it seems like high cost is being transferred to the community and there is a disconnect between the core and the community developers. Perhaps it has been this way for some time, but I am noticing it more.Comments?
