Development Speedup :: Pyinotify and autocode compilation / db updates

- 02/12/2015 09:53:14
Hi Developers

Renzo from gave me a hint on pyinotify (

it is possible to compile *.py to *.pyo on change.

What I want to do is, that on any filechange odoo code is recompiled (I guess that's the above thing) AND the DB is updates, but just for the models, that where changed.

I think the latter is not precisly trivial, but it's kind of annoing to restart the server with -u all every time I want to check the effects of a change.

How would I do a DB update of just the changed code? Maybe externalities are not that costly, if I do an update of the containing module to ensure consistency across module's models.

Is this feasable at all?
