Luis, quoting your e-mail

"and supplier."

If I were you, I would extend the product.product model and add a column referencing the product.supplierinfo model.

"THe example would be that Widget1 costs 1,50 per unit for up to 1000, 1,35 for quantities between 1001 and 5000  and 1, 28 above that .
The situation is that I would have to quote all three at the same time to our customers (with the corresponding margins, of course)"

This is what I would do. I would create a product.supplierinfo tree view and extend the product.supplierinfo model to accomodate the extra price/margin information. I would add search columns to the tree view in order to make it easier for the user to filter the information they need. Then I would add a wizard so the user can select products/suppliers, and add them to a sale.order via the wizard

Hope this information helps,

+1. For purchase side, you can use the tab 'Procurement' on the product
form and define a pricelist based on these prices for the supplier (or
for all suppliers).

For sale side, you can use pricelists to define different prices for a
same product based on quantities and/or customer.
