Hi OpenERP Master,

In my opinion:
Odoo created Open Object Framework for Ease of use and make you focus on the business more than the code.
That is why they use decorators to do the job for you, I mean you can use ''@api.onchange()'' with no explicit declaration on XML.

It is a way to make it easier and to think about business behind the code not the code itself.

Odoo 8.0 uses the active record pattern. Why does it's implementation not require an explicit save()?

In my experience with other software in same or other language, it is typical to require explicitly some save() method before your changes could be committed to the database.
