hi Pedro,

I installed your purchase_secondary_unit Module and at first sight it does pretty much what it should in terms of enabelling a UoP plus conversion to the internal UoM.

One issue that could turn out to be a problem that I see is how things behave in regards to PO's RFQ's and MOQ's
RFQ & PO are talking to your supplier, so they should use the language of the Supplier (i.e. using the Suppliers Unit of Measure [my UoP]).

My supplier has an MOQ 3000m, so I will buy 3000m. But the PO and RFQ is using UoM (pcs in my example) where it should use UoP (which my supplier understands and also what I have to pay for).
Also the MOQ should be using UoP and not UoM. Is there any way to make your Module's UoP 'overrule' the default use of UoM when it comes to Purchase Orders, RFQ's and MOQ?

best ...Gunnar

P.S. I could imagine similar issues might arrise when it comes to invoicing a PO where you also should have a price per UoP that you have to pay.

We have made such module for OdooMRP project. You can find the module here: https://github.com/odoomrp/odoomrp-wip/tree/8.0/purchase_secondary_unit.

Feedback is welcome.

hi,

I see by default a way to use different UoM and UoS categories. There is a so called UoM > UoS Coefficient that takes care of the conversion.
This enables you to store and buy products in one Unit categorie (for example meters) and sell it in another (Units)

Now in my case I have to do such a conversion already between purchasing a product and storing it internally for manufacturing
I am buying in meters (UoP = m) and store in Units (UoM = Unit). So I need a UoP > UoM Coefficient (which seems not to exist).

Does anyone here now a module (v8) that can solve this issue?
I found a 7.0 module [https://www.odoo.com/apps/modules/7.0/purchase_product_uos/] which might provide such a conversion (it's not really clear from the description).
Is anyone using this and can tell whether it'll work in 8.0? I tried to contact the developers in Thailand but they didn't respond
