Alan, that's not strictly needed if you have a straight conversion factor between both units and there is no consume of package product (box, recipient...). In this scenario, the module I talked about simplify a lot the work.

what you are doing here is wanting to convert between different categories of units, you can't do that with just a coefficient. You can do it with a phantom bill of materials, where for example you consume 2 meters of fabric and produce 1 unit of tablecloth. You put the phantom bom in the product you want to make (or sell the phantom bom directly) and it will consume the continuous product in units.

I see by default a way to use different UoM and UoS categories. There is a so called UoM > UoS Coefficient that takes care of the conversion.
This enables you to store and buy products in one Unit categorie (for example meters) and sell it in another (Units)

Now in my case I have to do such a conversion already between purchasing a product and storing it internally for manufacturing
I am buying in meters (UoP = m) and store in Units (UoM = Unit). So I need a UoP > UoM Coefficient (which seems not to exist).

Does anyone here now a module (v8) that can solve this issue?
I found a 7.0 module [] which might provide such a conversion (it's not really clear from the description).
Is anyone using this and can tell whether it'll work in 8.0? I tried to contact the developers in Thailand but they didn't respond
