Love what you're doing with odoo to turn it into a great multi-channel digital marketing platform. One area where it is not clear what odoo's current or future capabilities are is in email marketing automation. Marketing campaigns can clearly generate sequences of emails to customers, but the conditional triggers do not yet appear to easily accessible to be able to build the following types of email workflow:

1) Has email A been opened - if so then then continue with email B otherwise try again with email C
2) Has a particular product been bought - if so then start a series of emails to assist customer to get product to work, or to ask for feedback on how well it works
3) Has a particular page on the website been visited - if so then email to take customer to the next step otherwise email to remind customer what they are missing 
4) Has a particular order been delivered - if so then email a survey request to confirm to the customer and ask them how the purchasing process went for them

I have managed to do the last of these with server actions to yield an odoo-on-saas compatible integration with aftership to get real time shipment tracking updates but the first 3 have so far eluded me. A simple set of examples of automated workflows that demonstrated these types of email automation would allow you to pitch odoo as alternative to hubspot and activecampaign.

We mostly invest in building marketing apps for v9 because we need them for ourselves. Marketing is the next challenge of Odoo (we have a great product, know it's time to spread the word)

Let us know if you have ideas on how we can bring more visitors to Odoo, we turn it into an App:)
