Prices you manage on the product. Of course prices will be discounted ( for customer categories as professional customers, gold partners,… ) and quantities ( bigger quantities gives a discount ). Mostly the reduction will depend on product category, so it stay manageable, even with a million products. Your list price will also be time depending ( a promo during 2 weeks ). A shop or a web shop will have a customer category connected and prices in the shop are following the rules from those category. So you can have a webshop for end users and one for professionals, each with the prices calculated for them . When you want a special price you just have to correct ( maybe for a limited time ) the product price. When you want independent different prices in all you shops, you must create a price book for each shop. For an Openerp demo, that’s no problem, for a living business with 1000000 products and where prices change 3 times a year, I don’t think you’ll enjoy that kind of system for a long time….

Best regards,

The problem with that approach is that sometimes you can NOT set a price of

99.99 for example. Shop owners need to be able to choose the exact displayed

retail price.
