join our Accounting team in San Francisco!

This Bookkeeper will be responsible for data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, posting receipts, process purchase orders for partner commissions, managing the monthly close, and monitoring general accounting practices.
This person reports to the Accounting Manager. This position is based in San Francisco and requires little to no travel.
Responsibilities
Assist in all aspects of accounting, including revenue recognition, vendor commissions, and General Ledger
Assist in the month-end close process
Employee expense reimbursement receipt verification, bank reconciliation, and accrual process

Work with employees, legal consultants, and government agencies to obtain/monitor filed application documents/information/petitions necessary for work authorization
Must Have
- Bachelor Degree in Business or related field

1 to 2 years of experience preferred
Must be a self-starter and willing to assume ownership of assigned projects and duties
Highly organized with great attention to detail
Able and willing to learn an entirely new accounting software and ERP system and analyze configuration details
Nice to Have
You are able to work in a fast paced start-up environment with a hands-on attitude
You have a passion for software
