We have one company and at the moment two locations.

We have set up a warehouse management system where items are held on specific racks and rows (eg. Row D, Rack 5) in the main warehouse (first location), and nothing for the second location.

When we bring up product information, the inventory level for the item is displayed which shows the total number of products available across both locations, but how do we display how much stock we have in each location on the product display?

I know that we can do a warehouse/location query and find out what do we have where, but it would be highly advantageous if we could see what is where on the product information view. Not being able to see what's at which location also renders the "Storage Location" entries rather meaningless as they only show the rack/row location for the one location while in fact there may not be any products in stock at that location at all even though the inventory shows that items are in stock.

Have a look at this module: https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/9.0/product_stock_balance/

Feedback: The list shows parent and child locations, and users may think the qty is duplicated. For example, http://stock-balance.erpbase.ru/web#id=12&view_type=form&model=product.template&menu_id=129&action=109 shows 22 in WH / Stock and 22 in WH / Stock / Shelf 1 - just what I noticed when I looked at it.

Ray, sure, the info may be somehow misleading. However, it is impossible to avoid it logically. If we showed only own location stocks without its children's inventories, it would also disorient: e.g. salespersons would think that there is nothing on WH/Stock. Anyway thank you for the comment: we should include this peculiarity in the app description.

Check in More -> Stock by location in the product form view.  I think it is what you are looking for.

I am still unable to figure out how to use multiple racks and how we can deduct or add products to a particular rack. Using locations for this purpose is a messy way...I hope someone can help on that

Hello Victor, You will find a report called "inventory analysis" under the menu "Reporting". In the version 7, just group by location first, then by product. In the newest version, you will find a very nice report that will allow you to do the same just by clicking on the "plus sign" and by selecting products and location.

To get product by location.

You have to check with report. We can't get it in product form.

See this document will guide you to get product by location feature.

Thanks for that. I actually found a more usable answer since we already knew about running reports. In fact I mentioned that in my question.

To see the product location copy and paste this URL into your browser. http://help.openerp.com/question/6704/how-can-i-see-the-stock-location-of-an-product/

Can anyone help with this? I cannot find any modules or settings that will allow us to see at which location our stock is residing. How can we implement multiple locations feature so that it is actually useful to us? Right now we do not know where our stock is without manually running warehouse reports.
